PREDATORS
IN PERIL
An exhibition of images by Andy Murch
The Predators in
Peril Exhibition focuses on the public’s changing perception of sharks
and their uncertain future in an increasingly hostile ocean.
An exhibition in two
parts:
Sharks in a Fading
Light
The first series of
images portray sharks as iconic predators; powerful, daunting and
majestic. The setting sun comments on the end of an era as the hysteria
that surrounded sharks in the late 20th century is slowly replaced by
respect and appreciation.
Predators in Peril
The second series of
images focuses on the innate beauty and grace of sharks and explores
their extraordinary diversity. This collection also includes images that
draw attention to the vulnerability of sharks and the fragile position
of many species due to over-fishing and habitat destruction.
